VOL. 7, NO. 5 | Unity in the Truth: Ecumenism Without Compromise

It was Jesus’ prayer (in John 17) that his body would be one. He came to divide us from the world, but to unite us to himself—and he is not divided. But as soon as we ask the next questions—So who is Jesus? What did he accomplish?—we find those claiming to be his followers beginning to divide.  So how do we affirm precise definitions of the truth and yet also seek unity in that truth in our day? This is the complicated matter we want to start exploring in this issue.
