In this issue, we address the New Perspective on Paul and the Federal Vision movement. The New Perspective on Paul challenges both the importance of justification and its very definition. The Federal Vision movement is attracted to the New Perspective’s emphasis on cultural transformation over individual salvation. The doctrine of salvation (soteriology) ends up not only being integrated into the doctrine of the church (ecclesiology); the latter swallows the former whole.
